Corman Collins Trois Rivières Cuvée Bèlè 2005
Woody and spice-forward, with candied tropical fruit (mango, lychee), citrus and a touch of solvent on the nose. The Cognac cask leaves coffee, cocoa and a little leather. Members call it an atypical Trois Rivières — a rounded, wood-led agricole where pepper and ginger run the palate. The 52% sits well integrated, though a few find the finish drying.

I'd say the price tag is pretty OK on this release. A fruity and intense rum with nice mix of spices. I like the there is a difference between the nose and palate, not a lot but enough to surprise you. The empty glass is really nice and I get light coffee and chocolate notes.

Incredibly delicious and unusual trois Rivieres. Tropical fruit, dark chocolate, cognac influence and some mint, as well as vanilla and some ginger jelly. Really nice part! The first trois Rivieres I think the me fully convinced.

Review by Romanodeltauro
