Hampden Stolen Overproof
"A wild ride," as one member put it — and that's the honest pitch. This 6-year Hampden pot-still overproof throws glue, acetone, varnish and overripe tropical fruit (papaya, jackfruit) at you, with a little oak and toasted coconut underneath. At 61.5% it drinks hot, but a few drops of water tame it. Several people call it their daily sipper and hunt down more.

I want every single bottle of this rum. Wow. A startlingly impressive rum for something I giggled at when I saw it’s name the first time. How wrong I was. Full of juicy flavor and funk, it manages a wonderful full body mouth feel on only 6 years.

Very nice for the price point. Smells like rotten banana and a little tar. Something like papaya as well. Pours dark golden. A little oak in the mouth. Some toasted coconut. Medium to long finish. Bottle pour shopped thanks to 10art1.

I wish this wasn’t a limited run. One of my all-time favorite rums. Explosive and intense flavors but nothing feels out of place or unbalanced. It’s like going on a very well designed roller coaster. It’s a white knuckled, laughter filled joyride.

This is my go to Rum, my daily sipper, it's great on its own and it makes other rums better, a excellent mixer... Glue, Paint Thinner, Varnish, Acetone, papaya, jackfruit, neeseberry.. A wonderful flavorful rum.... I am always on the hunt for this bottle, I want as many as I can find lol

Read full review →As a sipper it is the type of thing you might only need one glass of. As a mixer its the type of insane loony juice that will cause you to lose a day or two. A rum and coke with this rum is simply divine. This is fantastic stuff....
