Al naso è burroso con frutti rossi e frutta secca, cuoio, legno, cacao e agrumi/spezie, un bel mix che ha come sottofondo un sentore carbonizzato. Al palato è legnoso e speziato (pepe sichuan e altre) con datteri dolci e nocciole, sempre col sentore carbonizzato a fare da sfondo. Semplice, giovane, ma gradevole con un finale abbastanza persistente che lascia un retrogusto in bocca secco e sugheroso. Nel bicchiere vuoto stagionati e una flebile nota vegetale/floreale/legnosa (Versione bottiglia vintage dal collo lungo, senza la M)

Un rhum vieux classique et dans la pure tradition agricole. La canne à sucre, les fruits secs et les épices se fraient un chemin dans un nez relativement doux et discret. En bouche, on retrouve le côté agricole sec mais aussi une impression de légèreté. La canne à sucre et sa fraîcheur se font plus discrets. Au contraire, le bois, les épices et le côté légèrement rôti viennent en force et apportent du caractère. Les fruits secs viennent également soutenir ce côté plus affirmé. La finale ne s’éternise pas, mais laisse transparaître les notes herbacées et végétales, qui s’accompagnent de poivre, d’un boisé légèrement épicé et d’un fruité succinct. Un rhum d’entrée de gamme pour les rhums vieux, sui se trouve à un prix raisonnable mais qui manque un peu de cachet par rapport à d’autres distilleries.

Goût sur des fruits ananas, banane dessert, belle palette aromatique, très subtile. Légère présence de vernis associé au boisé... canne sucrée voir jus pressé ! Légère amertume...
