Dzama Cuvée Blanche Prestige
Best served ice-cold or built into a mojito, this Madagascan white leans hard on lemon — so much that one taster wondered if it was even rum, closer to a light limoncello. Around that citrus you get floral and rose notes, a little vanilla, and a soapy edge on the finish that some find odd. Light, thin body, a touch sweet from the molasses.

Whaou hyper pleasant, molasses-type rum, a little sweet. But very nice. Maybe add a squeeze of lemon to taste.

Un drôle de rhum blanc qui se veut aussi parfumé que troublant. Le nez n’est pas hyper expressif mais on perçoit les agrumes (citron), un côté floral et herbacé, une pointe de vanille et côté savonneux qui vient à la fin et qui n’est pas sans déplaire. Le profil est léger et mise sur l’originalité (Dzama venant de Madagascar) mais est tout de même limité dans son approche. L’attaque en bouche est du même accabit, loufoque et intriguant mais clairement défectueux. Le citron et les notes florales ne suffisent pas à enlever ce goût savonneux qui me dérange terriblement au palais. La vanille revient de façon étonnante mais sans convaincre ou effacer le reste. Le profil est léger, mince mais assez pauvre au final. La finale ne révolutionne rien avec ce côté médicinal et un poil plus sec que le reste. Il est probable que ce rhum s’accorde mieux en bouche s’il est bu très frais, où les agrumes feront mieux leur travail. Un rhum qui a le mérite de changer des rhums blancs classiques (style agricole ou jamaïcain) mais qui a besoin de parfaire son art pour discuter à la table des grands.
