Grays Arcane Cane Crush
Sip it neat if you like fresh cane, or lean on it in a daiquiri — that's where it shines. This unaged Mauritian cane-juice rum smells of cut grass and grapefruit, almost bubblegum on the nose, then drinks soft with lime, a grassy vegetal edge and a little white-pepper bite. It's a milder, easygoing take on agricole. A few tasters find it thin on flavor once the freshness fades.

Excellent rhum de l'île Maurice. Très frais. Belle rondeur sans la moindre agressivité. Un rhum facile à boire et très doux. Belle découverte.

Never heard of this brand before, however decided to give it a try. And I was wonderfully surprised!!! Very pleasent, tasty rum! On the the nose- fresh grass(sugarcane), mild citrus, and a subtle hint of spice, white pepper, and faintly noticeable alcohol smell(very minimal). Tastewise- fresh sugarcane, citrus, lime, a bit grapefruit bitterness, and some peppery spiciness, very little alcohol taste. Finish- medium with pleasant sugarcane after taste. In conclusion- for the price of 24 Eur, this is a very, good Mauritian white rum. Surprisingly good for sipping and cocktail mixing.

Grapefruit Huba Buba full pulle in the nose. In the taste like a mild Agricole.

Fresh, grassy bubblegum aroma on the nose and very smooth on the palate.

02.10.2016 - 03.10.2016 A great extended weekend with rum friends. This was a nice event and lots of space between the tables. Only problem was the level of English at some of the exhibitors. Here are the rums we tasted at the event itself, nothing truly unique but we had fun. This is the second half of the tastings. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Fresh, floral, Agricole, sugarcane, citrus. Palate Warm, fresh, sugarcane, medium dry, floral, vegetal, fruity, citrus. Finish Medium long, fruity, sugarcane, light floral.
