Very strange nose, red wine and plastic, difficult to describe. It gets nicer with time. Then good in the mouth, great finish. But the artificial smell ruins this rum.

Another great rum. Nice and fruity from the nose to the finish.

Rhumtour 2025 This reminds me of Marsala or another Italian aperitif. Citrus, sour in nose. Lots of wood in taste. I get some will like it. Even though it qualified as rum, it should not be labeled as rum. Not my cup of wine.

First time tasting rum from Madeira and what an interesting nose! Never had so much lemon/citrus notes on the nose before. The smell of wine is also there. The cane juice charachter is very noticeable on the palate. Interesting, complex rum but not something I need on my shelf.
Review by X-Savior
On The Rocks: On the nose it hints of spice, floral and oak notes. Taste is a moderate fruit (leaning into red wine) and strong oak and spice with earthy notes. Finish is medium fruity red wine, very unique and special. This is another rum that will make you pause and think. It is a very special rum that is quite enjoyable. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose it has mild woody aroma with trace Molasses. Taste is a pleasant honey sweetness with mild leathery and molasses flavour. Finish is short and sweet but overall it loses complexity. Fantastic mixer (7* mixed) but it is a shame to drink this one mixed in the big picture.

very special rum! really crass dry and sour, you really have to be into it. the nose is incredibly fruity and sour berry-like towards balsamic vinegar, in the finish the whole thing repeats itself in between simply remains this crass acidity and furry. very getting used to but also not bad at all! but just nothing for everyone. my favorite remains the first batch in the Madeira barrel...

"In fact as I write and reminisce I have just thought of the nearest comparison to this rhum. The Rhum Rhum Liberations from Marie Galante. I'm not saying this is quite as good but its definitely not a million miles away. Complex, interesting and most of all quite unusual."Read full review →
