Captain Morgan White Rum
Glue, faint green fruit and a lot of plain alcoholic heat — that's the honest read here. One taster called it "Prittstift mit Wasser" (glue stick with water), and most agree it's watery and neutral rather than offensive. Nobody drinks this neat; it exists to disappear into fruity cocktails or a Captain-and-coke. Cheap, white, party fuel, and it does that one job.
The community says- Cheap party mixer
- Undrinkable neat
- Watery, thin

How does Captain Morgan White Rum taste?
Aggregated from 53 community reviews.
Thin, alcoholic white — a mixer, not a sipper Reviews land low and agree on one thing: don't sip it. Thin, chemical and alcoholic straight, but usable in fruity cocktails or cola if you want a cheap white mixer.

Quite okay for cocktails
Review by Timo Groeger
Review by heckto🥃
acceptable for fruit cocktails, pure it is undrinkable.
Review by Schnapsschuesse
Quite weak on the nose, but not a total failure. Esters a little, glue, something green, relatively fresh - but also bluntly alcoholic. The first half of the palate is really meaningless. Towards the end it gets a bit funky, boozy, but also fruity. Unfortunately, however, totally watered down. Here too: quite meaningless, but not a total failure. All in all, surprisingly poor for my expectations. For a tenner, this thing is absolutely fine. In this segment (cheap, white, party material, daiquiris for beginners) I would actually prefer it to all others.

Review by Maik Schütte
Was a Gift, but only drinkable in Captain/Coke….
Review by Anton Krioukov
Probably good as a mixer. Definitely don’t drink it straight if you can avoid it.
Review by Christoph
Was allowed to taste the recently together with "real" rums and what can I say, Prittstift with water. After all, better than the white Bacardi. Would use this rum only for cheap, fruity cocktails and not recommend pure.
Review by Mark Tibbo
Mix cocktails only. Stay away, not today, disco lady.
Review by Kayla Roy
Not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but don’t drink this straight. Tastes like alcohol.

Read full review →Of course I know that this review will be dismissed by many (who will probably never try this rum) in much the same way many avoid ALL Bacardi rum. I'll stand by my opinion on this, as a mixer I think it is a very credible white rum.
