CDI New Yarmouth Jamaica (Bottled for Denmark) 2005
Blind, more than one taster mistook this New Yarmouth for a top Hampden — that's the level of funk. Glue, solvent and overripe banana hit first, then pineapple, marzipan and cookie dough settle in. At 65.2% it's big, oily and creamy, with a finish that goes dry and tannic. Several call it the best CDI New Yarmouth they've had.

sensational new yarmouth. cookie dough, very fresh menthol and allspice, creamy, harmonious and just more cookie dough and spice than the cave Guildive what I find simply hornier. and overall a little more harmonious and quaffable by the almost 3% less alcohol.simply gigantically good stuff!

Great !!! NY at its best, at least for me. Great fruit, lots of ester, marzipan and an incredible mouthfeel. Together with the SBS 2005 my personal reference when it comes to New Yarmouth (2005). Unfortunately really hard to get at a reasonable price.

Tasted after a still unbottled Savana (surprise, surprise Belgium), I still had a blast.

8,8:On the nose, the first impression we get is very intense with esters, glue, overripe tropical fruits like banana, pineapple and citrus fruits, funky, woody with some spice and marzipan, cookie dough and biscuits. On aeration, the molasses is fresh, slightly vegetal, the presence of solvents is strong. 8,8:On the palate, the attack is intense, funky, but creamy with esters, glue, slightly roasted wood notes like pastry, caramel, cookie dough, spicy with allspice, salty and fruity with overripe tropical fruits like banana, pineapple and citrus fruits, when aired well, also red fruits and papaya. It quickly becomes dry and astringent, but buttery and the molasses vegetal. 8,7:The finish is long, intense, less round as the palate, dry and tannic, fruity and funky, the wood is roasted, smoky, spicy, the molasses vegetal and flowery. Edit:23.1.26, oxidation helps, an upgrade for 0,2

I love this one. A lot of bang right off the bat and once rested you get a very fruity rum on the nose. The esters, glue and and menthol is there and it's kind of intense on a very nice way. The funk is there and a wonderful oily feel on the palate.

Klasse Vertreter der 05NY. Viel Tropische und Ester. Daneben eine Mischung Lack und Klebstoff. Hold und Gewürze halten sich im Hintergrund. Abgang hält ewig an. Alkohol könnte nicht besser eingebunden sind.

One of the best NY for me!

24th day of the Christmas calendar. Blind! For me it was typical Hampden and a really great one... but then it was a NY ... Nose: a bit biting at first. Then come fine esters, fine glue, fermented pineapple and very ripe banana, the whole deposited with a light vinegar note. Totally round. Palate: quite astringent at the beginning. Then the fine esters. Sweetish acidity, like flambéed, grilled pineapple. Almost creamy and buttery. Almond and a little aniseed at the back. Also very round on the palate. A totally good NY and a worthy end to the Christmas calendar!!!

Even more aromatic than the comparative bottling of CDI. Spicier and slightly less sweet in taste. Allspice and pepper come to the fore very present next to the cookie dough and the fruit basket. A fantastic bottling!
