8,5:On the nose, we notice esters, tropical fruits like banana, pineapple and mango, with vegetal molasses and roasted wood notes like cream toffee and spices with vanilla and allspice, at first glance. On aeration, metallic patina arrives, herbaceous and grassy tones, perhaps flowery, citrus fruits and raisins, a bit of sourness... 8,8:On the palate, the attack is really great, delicious and balanced, slightly sweet with roasted wood notes like caramel, roasted nuts, spicy with vanilla and salt, fruity with tropical fruits from above, red fruits and raisins, medicinal with esters.Molasses is grassy, herbaceous, vegetal, moves even to dark side with licorice.On oxidation, the rum becomes a bit greasy, as we might taste fruity cream, prehaps an ice cream. 8,7:The finish is long, really buttery and creamy, slightly grassy, with variety of notes from roasted wood like pastry, brioche, cream toffee, white chocolate, slightly spicy, very balanced, with tropical fruits.. ... Hampden, legendarni jamajska destilerka, ktera krome rumu produkuje take alkohol do parfemu. Ve vsech rumech z teto destilerky ucitite divoke estery, po kterych cely vas organizmus nasakne vuni zluteho tropickeho ovoce - manga, papaji, anansu, broskvi. Jeden z rumu, ktere "must try before die"

Kein klassischer Hampden aber spannend, weil anderst. Sehr gehaltvoll im Mund, relativ würzig. Für den Preis: absolut top!

Sehr schöner Einsteiger Hampden. Alkohol Top eingebunden. Schön fruchtig mit einer angenehmen Süße. Natürlich kommt er an die Komplexität anderer Hampdenabfüllungen nicht heran, aber für nur 4 Jahre Reifung ist das schon gut.
