Romdeluxe DDL Wild Series Rum Enmore No. 2 EHP 2002
Wooden-still Demerara character: chocolate, heavy oak and a mineral-ash edge, with vanilla and butterscotch softening the middle. Several members catch a surprising sweetness and a touch of plum and raisin fruit. At 61.5% the heat is the sticking point — some find the alcohol beautifully integrated, others say it fights the flavours. A drop of water helps rather than hurts.

How does Romdeluxe DDL Wild Series Rum Enmore No. 2 EHP 2002 taste?
Aggregated from 24 community reviews.
Woody, chocolatey Enmore at hot cask strength Most owners rate it well — a rich, woody Coffey-still Enmore that rewards patience in the glass. The main caveat: the high proof isn't for everyone, and a few want it better integrated.

Very well integrated ABV and I only added a drop of water in order to get all the flavours set free. Water is not needed though because it's very well balanced.

Surprisingly sweet and slightly fruity enmore, but the alcohol could be much better integrated. I had to sneeze 3 times when nosing 😂 Solid taste but not a revelation either and not a particularly good representative of Enmore rums for me.

On the nose I discover a very extensive mix of mainly sweet notes. You definitely want to let it breathe in the glass. On the palate there are chocolate but also subtle fruity notes, Despite the higher ABV, the alcohol is very well integrated. A great piece.

... Enmore - drive distiller, now just a functional distillation device. Apparently the only wooden still in the world which is very popular. The Enmore rums have a flavour of ash, leather, heavy wood, which will delight especially the lovers of whiskey. And if in the traditional Guyanese way the producer adds a little molasses to the rum, you have a unique very distinctive and heavy rum in the bottle. One of my favourites.

Unfortunately, the high alcohol content makes it difficult to enjoy.
