Eighteen years in oak, and it still reads fresh — that's the surprise here. This Neisson agricole leans on roasted wood, orange peel and prune, with vanilla and a chocolatey finish that a few members say goes on and on. This one is even better than the 15 year old but also carries a price tag that's a lot heavier. Well rounded and balanced rum with a fruity and floral profile with some spices and nice integrated wood. You barely feel the ABV and it draws really nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass is really nice and fruity.

Nose: superb, fresher than the 15.3, balanced, woody citrus. Palate: fairly smooth attack, smooth development, fairly complex, very pleasant constant freshness overhanging tertiary aromas of tobacco caramel, licorice that brings a heavy misery in opposition. Spice on the side, menthol on the top, greediness and dried fruit heaviness on the bottom. Excellent

Line Up Neisson. On passe un cap avec ce 18 ans, juste magnifique. Une merveille d'équilibre et de rondeur, au top des agricoles dégustés jusqu'ici. Le tarif est malheureusement à la hauteur, mais quelle plaisir !
