Bielle Rhum Premium Ambre
Sipped neat it reads like a lightly-aged agricole: fresh sugarcane up front, then bitter orange peel, a little wood and spice, and a dry, faintly herbal finish. Several tasters call it a good "introduction to agricole" — the cane still shines through one year in oak. One member flags it as too hot and bitter, so heat tolerance varies.

This rum should be in some starter pack for “Introduction to agricole rums”. Aroma is very elegant and gentle. I noticed vanilla, fruit and wood. There is hint of that agricole scent, nothing horrible everything has it own place. Taste is very sweet and again elegant and gantle. I tried to decide if it is vanilla or sugarcane (sugarcane wins this round). I noticed some spice and wood, but overall this rum is very light (in a good way). Finish unfortunately is short but very interesting with flavors like bitter, there arr some sweet flavors and in my opinion there is hint of apple. Overall pretty nice rum and to be honest great agricole that I would gladly drink again sometimes.

Intense aromas for just one year of maturation. Smells of wood, caramel, citrus marmalade but also a fresh, herbal hint of eucalyptus. The taste has the same aromas as the nose plus a certain sweetness. Delicious bottling with an intense flavor, I like it. Bought in Bordeaux in 2023. Would never have blindly guessed one year maturation, but rather VSOP.

Particulier, bon mais vraiment particulier.

Very woody/woodjuice. Some paint, not unpleasant. Nothing mindblowing but not boring and pretty tasty. Second taste: a lot more orange and orange peel/bitters. Better!

Sehr vielseitier Agricole.

Easy to drink and nice taste but a higher abv would be better i think.

Lehký zemědělský rum, ve kterém na prvním místě jednoznačně nacházím spálené mandle a potom lehký závan koření, který rychle nahrazuje dlouhá nahořklá chuť pomerančové kůry.
Review by TheRhumhoe
A friendly, open amber Bielle, with sweet spices, light green notes (cane) and citrus fruits on the nose. A typical agricultural rum. The attack on the palate is equally balanced. Woody, spicy notes take the lead, but are soon overtaken by exotic fruits, a touch of caramel and more planty, floral notes on the finish. A dry, fresh and smooth rum. The finish, of decent length, lingers unsurprisingly on wood, a few spices (nutmeg), citrus (lemon) and the bitterness provided by the vegetal profile. A good rum with good fundamentals, but a little expensive.
Review by Christoph
Initially rather sweet like citrus marmalade which then turns sour in the finish with strong herbal sugar cane notes.

Original, surtout pour un paille

The price matches pretty well what you get in my mind. The nose is fresh and fruity with spices, wood and cane. Leave the empty glass for a while and whif it again to get clearer flavours. The palate is fresh, woody and fruity with cane, nuts and cane. You can detect the Agricole notes on the palate after it has rested for a while. The finish is medium long with wood, dried fruit and spices.

Catch-up rum depot tasting. Still promising on the nose, too woody on the palate and not a hit overall.

Nez flatteur mais trop peu de rondeur.
