Ein schöner alter Demerara meiner Meinung nach. Sehr gelungene old School Abfüllung, von der ich nicht viel erwartet habe, aber positiv überrascht wurde. Für den Preis der in den Auktionen aufgerufen wird mir persönlich zu überteuert. Aber trotzallem ein sehr schöner runder Rum, der aber leider etwas zu dünn geraten ist, was ihn eine höhere Bewertung verbaut.

8,7:On the nose, the first impression we get is a strong barrel impact from sherry seasoning with dried fruits like prunes, dates, smoky, roasted wood notes with coffee, roasted nuts, spices like cinnamon. On aeration, vegetal aspect with black tea and tobacco is stronger, walnuts are obvious, cola and raisins notes and for a while even a bit rotten, pungent bias...As tannins join, when oxidation does its job. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is dark with sherry seasoning(prunes first, dates, dried figs later) and roasted wood notes like leather, roasted nuts and cocoa, caramel, spicy with allspice, pepper, the molasses is herbaceous, brings tobacco and licorice.On oxidation, pineapple, citrus and other dried fruits join, as mentioned before, some metallic patina. 8,6;The finish is long, dry and tannic, dark with roasted wood notes and prunes, raisins, some tobacco..

13.11.2020 A cosy evening at home with some friends and good rum. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, plum, light anise, berries, faint chocolate, light coffee. Palate Oily, wood, light roasted, plum, light leather, faint caramel, light chocolate, light licorice, spice, light salty. Finish Medium long, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light chocolate, faint medicinal.
