Saint James Cœur de chauffe
Fresh-cut grass, sugarcane and a hit of black pepper straight off the still — this is unaged Martinique agricole at full 60% throttle. A few tasters catch light citrus, yellow fruit and even a faint solvent edge. Neat it's hot and green; most members reach for it in a Ti Punch, where it shows a deep red-berry side with just a little lime.

Peppery unaged agricole built for Ti Punch Most owners rate it a fine cane-juice blanc — pepper-driven and hot neat, but it really comes alive in a Ti Punch, and people call the price-to-quality hard to beat.

28.03.2022 Sampling a bit at home. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Fresh and intense, floral, light citrus, berries, light sugarcane. Palate Intense, sugarcane, berries, light citrus, medium dry, medium spicy, light floral. Finish Long and warm, spicy, sugarcane, light citrus, light floral. Extra note. Need to rest for a good while to settle and release all its flavours.

This Saint James at ABV 60% made from cane juice is not distilled in an column still as most of their produced rum, instead it’s double distilled in copper pot stills. So because of that it’s an Agricole without being an AOC rum. It makes a good Ti Punch.

Unaged Agricole, the second one. Again, a lot of cane, otherwise, of course, very vegetal, very floral, fresh, grassy and earthy. You really can't go wrong with this nice Agricole.

A superb white, with a lovely texture.

After a rousing review by thelonecaner bought this pot still agricole. Was initially too violent for me, esp. the earthy aromas that made me think the sugar cane roots to chew - an impression that has become much weaker over three quarters of a year. Alcohol is well integrated, but 60% brings a certain sharpness. In the meantime I appreciate it, especially in Ti Punch with only a little lime it develops a deep red berryiness. The is also my secret ingredient in the Mai Tai.

A fruity smell of sugar cane, grass, typical Agricole, some honey. In the taste rather surprisingly little sugar cane, some pepper, slightly fruity.A very tasty Agricole.

Pure for me no pleasure, but brilliant in Ti'Punch. There I like it even better than the HSE 55, which was otherwise my "standard" in terms of unripe Agricoles.

Very good in ti-punch but really pure. A success.

One of my favorite whites. The sugarcane flavor is obviously dominant. In value for money it is definitely one of the best white rums!

Agicole w pełnej krasie. Zapach trawy, kwiatów, świeczek łąki z nutkami bimbru. Wytrawny, bogaty smak z wyraźnymi nutami trawy ale także alembika. Grzeje. Finisz słodkawy, alkoholowy bimbru. Znakomity do drinków.
