Un embouteillage quelque peu frustrant de chez That Boutique-Y. Ce Bellevue laisse pourtant une belle impression au nez, un beau fruité sur les abricots secs et la marmelade de fruits tropicaux qui s’accompagne d’épices (muscade, clou de girofle, poivre, vanille), de bois, de tabac, de notes douces et herbacées. Le profil est parfumé et avenant de prime abord. L’aération lui donne des notes sucrées sur la guimauve. Le rhum perd de sa prestance une fois en bouche. Les arômes pourtant attrayant au début laissent place à quelques fruits secs (raisin, pruneau) et des dattes, mais aussi des notes pimentées, rôties, végétales et amères. C’est quelque peu la douche froide pour les papilles malheureusement. L’alcool est bien présent et déséquilibre le palais. La finale se veut assez longue et fait ressortir ce côté boisé, végétal et amer décrit précédemment. Les épices, le chocolat, le cuir et le raisin sec ne font qu’amplifier ce côté sec et âpre qui limite le potentiel aromatique. Un rhum qui a malheureusement trop peu à offrir et qui ne peut rivaliser face à d’autres représentants de la maison.
