Among my favorites!An intense and balanced rum with the alcohol beautifully integrated. Finally an affordable rum with phenomenal quality.On the nose and palate well marked aromas of barrel, olive, cherry/plum and roast.Currently the best rum I have tasted. Although Carones have that inimitable tar scent that I love, this one has an incredible and complex aromatic bouquet that makes for a very long tasting experience. Endless persistence. Magical!

Savanna Grand Arome, davon sollte es definitiv mehr geben! Fruchtig, mit vergorenem Obst, vielen funky Estern, toll eingebundenem Alkohol. Ein Aromenspektakel am Gaumen, der aber auch seine "Hohlräume" hat, verglichen mit anden Top Grand Arome Savannas. Der Abgang ist mittellang. Ein toller Rum, gehe trotzdem eins runter auf 89 Pkt.

In der Nase röstig, dunkel und „fleischig“ - und trotzdem fruchtig (Birne).. Am Gaumen kommt dann die typisch vergorene Fruchtigkeit dazu. Tolles Aromenspiel!

Savanna wie er im Buche steht und in Reinform. Menthol Eis Bonbons, big red Zimt Kaugummi, Tropische Früchte, eisbonbons, Säure, sehr frisch. Alkohol sehe gut integriert und generell sehr lecker. Kommt aber nicht ganz an den 2007er Jahrgang dran. Aber von den 2006ern einer der besten!

Ja, der ist wirklich gut! Hat alles, was man von einem GA erwartet - und davon in ausgewogenem Maße. Und Rum aus einem Cognacfass mag ich ja sowieso. Ich muss diesen wunderbaren Savanna unbedingt mal gegen den RN Savanna 2007 (RX7316) vergleichen. Danke, MrRumantic, für das Sample!

Ein sehr guter Komplexer Grand Arome. In der Nase steigen intensive Aromen von Frucht, Ester und Klebstoff auf. Am Gaumen verteilt er sich cremig intensiv mit einer anfangs schönen Zuckerrohrsüße. Der Allohol ist sehr gut eingebunden. Weiterhin folgen tropische und vergorene Früchte, sowie etwas Erdbeere. 😋 Der Abgang ist etwas herber, mit einem Hauch Leder und getrockneten Früchten. Klasse Abfüllung

Grande dégustation Savanna avec Artur. Un nez un peu réduit, il a fallu attendre une bonne demi-heure avant de pouvoir bien le déguster. Des fruits jaunes suris, du végétal fermenté et de la douceur. L’entrée de bouche est agréablement douce avec des arômes de fruits, du végétal fermenté avec un beau côté acide et amer qui donne de la profondeur. Le bois est un peu trop marqué à mon goût. La finale est moyennement longue, le bois reste pourtant très longtemps mais hélas tout seul. Un rhum pourtant équilibré et très agréable à boire.

On aeration, the wood is spicy, roasted with nuts, confectionery, the storm calms down, the molasses is grassy, herbaceous, dark with licorice, some bitter orange is out, rubber. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is intense, more balanced as the nose, with esters, pungent, rotten overripe tropical and red fruits, briny olive, slightly metallic, medicinal, as the wood is roasted, smoky with meaty, bacon notes, leather, spicy with cinnamon and the molasses becomes darker with licorice.When tge rum is well oxidized, dried, citrus fruits join. 8,3:The finish is rather long, dry, tannic, as roasted wood, smoky with leather, nuts, sourdough bread, spicy with anise, peppery, pairs vegetal molasses (olive), dark with black tea, licorice, earthy with cigar tobacco and red, dried fruits..

I really like the grand arome releases because they are truly grand. This one was standing on the table next to two other rums airing and it didn't take long for me to sniff this one out. The nose is fruity with varnish, wood, leather and licorice. The empty glass is even better after a while. The palate balanced very well with wood and fruit trailed by and licorice and light notes of medicine and tobacco. The finish is long and woody with dried fruit and light tobacco.

Für mich der beste der drei getesteten Savanna. Die deutlich verschlossenste Nase. Im Geschmack sehr schön Komplex ordentlich Leder und Ester.Aber auch schöne Frucht. Im Abgang die schönste Olivenstein Note.

Kam für mich nicht ganz an Rum Nation Savanna Small Batch #355 heran. Vielleicht wäre es mir im direkten aber auch nicht aufgefallen. Aus meiner Erinnerung war #355 etwas harmonischer. Aber beides sehr gute Grand Arome

#1763 28-03-2026 - Rate 8.9 The evening was finished with 3 different Rum Nation Savanna rums. All were really good and hard to keep apart. This one was my slight favorit. Rest of the party was more into the cask 436 edition

Persönlich definitiv der beste Savanna, den ich bisher probiert habe, da hier alles ausgewogener wirkt und besonders in der Nase überzeugt der Rum mich sehr. Am Gaumen etwas zu bitter und nicht mehr so ausgewogen wie in der Nase. Hier passiert viel, aber nicht alles sagt mir zu. Ein großer Savanna Fan werde ich wahrscheinlich nicht mehr, auch wenn ich die Mischung aus Eiskonfekt, Speck und Erdbeeren durchaus spannend finde. Aber die künstliche Note mit dem starken metallischen Einklang stört mich persönlich etwas. Die Qualität ist aber unbeschreitbar.
