Duncan Taylor Long Pond Single Cask Rum 2000
Sipped neat it drinks lighter than its 51.9% suggests — banana, pineapple and vanilla up front, a glue-and-solvent funk underneath, plus a herbal, licorice edge. Members call it a typical Long Pond ester profile, dryish with a "pleasant sweetness" and a long warm finish. A few note the lowish ABV keeps the funk from fully showing, and several like it in a Mai Tai too.

Kneipe The Rumah Rotterdam April 2026. Ja endlich geht es hier in die richtige Richtung. Jamaika gut erkennbar dank der tropischen Früchte, überwiegend wieder Ananas und Banane. Am Gaumen ist er dann aber auch noch leicht süßlich und kräuterig. Sehr lecker.

01.11.2019 Den Dansk Rom & Whiskyfestival This was my first visit to this two day event, where everything is included in the ticket. Also the first event where I have seen so many extremely drunk people. This event usually just has what's considered mainstream products, but luckily my friend had the right contacts so for a premium we had our own little collection to go through. Today I get free a free ticket if I want to attend 😊 A very nice and intense rum. Fruity with nice grass and herbal notes. Dry on the palate with a very long and warm finish.

Pretty typical funky Jamaican rum in the nose. Not too heavy. 15 years. 51%. A tad dryish. Very inviting. Taste: very delicious. Intense yet light. Banana. Pineapple. Pleasant sweetness. Funk. Licorice. A bit earthly. Well balanced. Very nice, complex yet easy to drink. Excellent Jamaican. Old Duncan Taylor had some excellent bottles for good pricing.

Schönes LP Profil jedoch zu wenig ausgeprägt aufgrund des tiefen ABV, easy Dailysipper. Alkohol dürfte einbisschen besser eingebunden sein. Bin gespannt wie sich dieser Duncan Taylor im Mai Tai macht.

Quite okay, but there are much better long ponds than this one. The wood influence is noticeable and slightly over the top, but still just in the green zone. Good in Mai Tai

I remember the time when this was peak long pond in my head. And at the time this was maybe true. After retasting it, a bit of the charm has gone. BUT, It still is good. Just not that high in points anymore
