Damoiseau’s best? It’s a pity that there’s so very few left out there. Nice nose that’s floral and woody with scents of sugarcane. At palate it’s super smooth, round, elegant, balanced, vegetal, floral and subtle. The finish is medium long.

Vom Grunde her nicht ganz so schlecht aber irgendwie ist der Abgang recht kurz. Denke ein paar Prozent hätten dieser Abfüllung ganz gut getan. Für mich ein wenig zu wässrig und als Fazit doch zu durchschnittlich mit ein wenig zu viel Holz vom Fass

Wow, a stroke of luck. Old bottle, cork in the rum, everything looked like a mistake. But I was able to filter the rum and the taste is spot on. Certainly on a par with the 18 brothers of these legendary 80s Damoiseaus. Again balanced, earthy, floral.

Tasting evening at Dr. Django: This is a very special Agricole... Damoiseau from the 80s. Heavy, dark and spicy, it's quite an intense rum from the nose to the finish. Alcohol is not perceptible... Many thanks to Leo for letting me have this in my glass

An older tasting and I'm still struggling to add my older tastings without spamming too much 😊 A very nice rum with great balance though I think the ABV should have been higher because it comes off a bit light. Still a great and well balanced rum with nice fruit and floral notes. Lightly dry palate with light chocolate at the end.

Great Agricole, not quite as complex and balanced as a Damoiseau 1980, for example, but still solid. For me, it's a tad too earthy and woody with a lack of fruity notes for a better rating.

Un rhum trouvé chez mon père…. Belle découverte un rhum élégant tout en douceur et en rondeur gourmande. Rien d’exuberant juste de la gourmandise a l’accord tres equilibré… le final est malheureusement trop court… cela appelle une nouvelle gorgée

Talking about being extremely Woody but not getting into the wood soup mess. This carries a lot of flavors like vanilla Oak and chocolate and manages to really battle itself with geranium and other floral notes to become a very herbal sweet vibrant and complex finish
