George Morton Ltd DDL O.V.D. Old Vatted Demerara
Anyone wanting an easy, wood-forward Demerara to mix rather than study will get the most out of this one. Expect dark chocolate, cocoa, burnt sugar and heavy oak, with a soft, slightly sweet body at 40%. Several tasters find it flat and one-note, and the long finish leans bitter for some. Fine in tiki cocktails, less rewarding neat.

How does George Morton Ltd DDL O.V.D. Old Vatted Demerara taste?
Aggregated from 25 community reviews.
Woody, dark, flat everyday Demerara Divides people: a decent, molasses-and-wood everyday Demerara for some, too flat and bitter on the finish for others. Most agree the 40% and simple profile hold it back.

Solid price-performance ratio. Very strong wood tones. Just typical of guyana in my opinion. Too little percent
Review by Johnny Rumcask
Nobody needs it: the nose is musty, dark, woody. Not much on the palate: a little sweetness, soft - the whole thing doesn't match the nose at all. The finish is very long, but is limited to bitterness on the palate.

Lots of molasses, flat profile. Pretty similar to Woods, but less taste.
