La Favorite Privilege Hommage à André Dormoy 1999
Grass, nougat and a croissant-like pastry note make the nose the star here — several tasters call it gigantic. The palate is a different story: dry, spicy and vegetal in that classic Martinique way, but light and thin, and the flavors "don't last that long." A pleasant old agricole that promises more on the nose than it keeps in the mouth.

- Dry, classic agricole

How does La Favorite Privilege Hommage à André Dormoy 1999 taste?
Aggregated from 24 community reviews.
Great nose, thin and short agricole A gorgeous, pastry-and-nut nose that most people love, then a thin, dry palate that fades fast. Nice but a touch underwhelming for 17 years.

I have never seen this bottle until it was in the tasting. A great rum with nicely balanced fruits and spices. The wood is wonderfully balanced with chocolate and roasted notes.

#23rd dec RumXCalendar Blind tasting: Nose: sugarcane, pastries, floral, vegetal, grass, spicy, nutty, hazelnut Mouth: dry, light, thin, agricole, vegetal, tea, pastries, hazelnut Finish: mid long, dry, sugarcane, grass, cucumber, mild My prediction: I think it’s from martinique again, but i’m not familiar with that mix of pastries, nutty notes… approx. 40% approx. 5-10years of aging

Lovely nose and initially quite delicious (sweet pastry agricole flavors with some dryness from te wood). But pretty thin and the fun doesn’t last that long:

Review by Thunderbird

Sehr einladende Nase da will man probieren, schmeckt dann sehr Richtung Tee.

RumX Adventskalender 23.12. Spannendes Profil zwischen Holz, Nuss und Tee. Leider aber etwas dünn. Immerhin riechen tut er sehr sehr gut!
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
