Silver Seal Old Navy Rum
Glue and ester hit first, then dark chocolate, warm spice and a bit of caramel underneath. This is a navy-style blend with a heavy Jamaican streak — one taster pegged it as "very heavy on the Jamaican side." At 57% it's strong but reasonably well knit. A few wish it had more depth, but most find it warming and harmonious rather than harsh.

A nice navy style blended rum with no vices. Well integrated. I can taste of lot of jamaica here, I'm getting wood, spices and dark chocolates as well. I am quite enjoying it! A medium length finish, alcahol well integrated.

Very heavy on the Jamaican side - Worthy Park, I think.

This is a navy style rum and this one hits the nail with its heavy nose and taste. The nose is fruity with spice. The alcohol is there as well as some wood. The palate strong and warm with fruit, spices and chocolate in the front. In the back i get some caramel and a tiny hint of barrel. The finish is long, warm and strong/heavy with licorice and toasted wood.

Now I know why the old sea dogs are such tough guys... so much for the smoky sea... it's that Navy rum.
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Beautiful navy blend! the alcohol could be a little better integrated, but it has a nice dark chocolate note, as well as lots of spices, lots of barrel notes, roasted aromas and your coconut, banana and pineapple, plus esters and glue and a slightly metallic finish. But overall very harmonious and none of the components dominate too much. it could just be a little milder.

Bien. Très pâtissier, plutôt doux et... c'est à peu près tout malheureusement. Au final c'est agréable mais on regrettera un manque de profondeur et de complexité.
