This 19-year Albion Demerara from Velier is toffee, vanilla, dark chocolate and smoke, with a faint fermented-fruit and mint edge a few people tie to Savanna Grand Arôme. Full-bodied, oily, long finish, and at 62.7% the alcohol is folded in cleanly. Complex and potent — not an everyday pour.

Albion meets Grande Arôme - the classic profile of vanilla, oak and toffee is complemented by a subtle note of fermented fruit and mint, which I associate directly with Savanna Grand Arômes. Unique combination at the highest level.

03.12.2025 Retasting. Enjoying the last sample from the bottle I bought 4 years ago. I still love this potent and complex rum and would have loved more bottles ------- I threw 1500 euro after this bottle last week and I don't regret it a single moment. Very well balanced and complex with great ABV integration. Wow, what a rum!

Incredible experience. Nose 95 points, taste points. Very exciting combination of caramelized fruits, spices, dark chocolate and smoke. In direct comparison to the Albion from El dorado, which is of course a little younger, I didn't think it was worth 30 times as much...

... Stare Velier Demerara rumy je to nejlepsi, co v rumovem svete muzete ochutnat. Rumy zraly spise omylem nekolik let v tropech a nikdo obsah sudu nedoplnoval. Andelska dan byla 90% a vice, proto je chut obzvlaste plna a intenzivni. I kdyz se jedna o extra drahou zalezitost, doporucu alespon jednou v zivote ochutnat rum z teto serie.

Wieder ein wahres Einhorn. Was die Nase verspricht hält der Geschmack doppelt. Leicht süß mit etwas Bitterkeit gefolgt von Früchten. Es folgen einige Geschmacksrichtungen die ich noch nicht zuordnen kann aber alles nur positiv. Der Abgang Wieder mal soooooo lang.
