TBRC Caroni HTR
People rate this a good Caroni, but not a great one — the crowd tends to call it a lighter, more "easy sipping" take on the style. You still get the classic rubber, tar and mineral markers, plus burnt brown sugar, dark chocolate and a little cherry fruit. A few felt it "watered down" and were hoping for more punch from a 20-year Caroni.

How does TBRC Caroni HTR taste?
Aggregated from 40 community reviews.
Lighter, easy-sipping Caroni with rubber and chocolate Most agree it's a genuine, gentler Caroni: tar, rubber and dark chocolate, well-integrated alcohol. The catch is it reads a touch light and consensual, so Caroni chasers may want more grit.

The frequently mentioned, dirty notes of ''Caroni'' are limited here, but can definitely be detected and ideally complement this otherwise very fruity and fine drinking experience. A great rum for my palate!
Review by Benoit Mahe
A little too dark and bitter. Still a good Caroni.
Review by Jeremy Roger 🇫🇷
A little gem 😍 Caroni markers dancing with fruit to a slightly spicy sound and dressed in a dark chocolate coat. I love
Review by Johannes
Easy sipping Caroni! Nicely balanced, little dirty notes, is absolutely fun because to drink!
Review by RumTaTa
Second and final tasting (the bottle is now empty)I have the impression that the medicinal notes have intensified in the time the bottle has been open. Resin has been added. The same on the palate. I did not remember it so intense.finish remains restrained. Better than I remembered him ( 3 points). This is my first Caroni and I'm honestly a little disappointed because I expected more. But so it is with expectations 😁Insgesamt but still a good rum.

Nice Caroni notes on the nose. Taste wise not very present, however. Feels a little bit watered down.
Review by Niels
Not bad to the nose after a long aeration in the mouth it lacks something, it remains a good tasting anyway!

I begin my education little by little on the Caroni and this one is very pleasant because more consensual than his friends of Velier.
Review by Henry Davies
The palate and finish are surprisingly aligned. Nose is well balanced with some spice and burnt brown sugar. Real nail polish and rubber tyres in the mouth with a spicy finish which lingers and then dissipates. It’s a full bodied but not outrageous rum, good but not spectacular and given the Caroni “halo” was hoping for more
Review by Mc Pirate
