Bielle Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 08
Opinions land all over the map here. Fans call it a balanced, layered Bielle with toasted oak, caramel, orange peel and grassy agricole character that opens slowly in the glass. Others feel the 8 years wasn't quite enough — the alcohol pokes through and a couple of tasters flag a slightly artificial orange or "artificial sweetener" edge on the finish. A cask-strength agricole that rewards patience.

How does Bielle Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 08 taste?
Aggregated from 23 community reviews.
Woody, spicy cask-strength agricole with grass Well-liked but not universally. Most find a warm, spicy, oaky Bielle with fruit and grass; a few say the alcohol integration is off and the finish reads a touch artificial.

I like this one a lot especially because it's a cheaper rum that pulls off a balanced and complex overall usually found in more expensive rums. The nose is spiced with orange and oak/leather. There is also a light floral note with caramel at the end. The palate is complex and well balanced with fruit and spice. I can also find toasted oak and smoke. The finish is long and oaky/smoky with fruits.

thanks to dr Django for the sample, nice rum but finish is a little "artificial sweetener" tasting.

83 Punkte

I get a little Cointreau like orange note that tastes a bit artificial and I’m not a big fan of that taste. Apart from that this is a decent agricole.

Not a good selection in my opinion, it's missing part of the usual Bielle markers
