The nose is very expressive, full of ripe fruit in the nostrils, frankly impressive and pastry-like. We're clearly on a great aroma (Le Galion): ripe banana, solvent, empyreumatic notes... frankly, the nose is powerful and original! On the palate, it's well-balanced, spicy, and like the nose, there's candied fruit and marzipan. There's bitterness and vegetal freshness. And a lovely caramelized length that makes the whole rather greedy. Blending this great aroma with rhum agricole rounds out this rum.

If I’ve understood it right is the Martinique part in it an Agricole and the Reunion part an molasses based rum. I think it’s definitely one of the best blends of Agricole and Molasses rum. The nose is dominated by spices. At the palate and during the medium long finish is the spiciness complemented with lots of fruitness.

Another low priced rum and you get what you pay for. Sweet and fruity with light spices and wood. In my mind it has been watered down far too much and has lost some of its soul on that account. The empty glass has some ginger and licorice.

A beautiful nose. Lots of punchy sugarcane and spice. A creme brulee made with the darkest of sugar. The palate tastes of a sweet raisin filled biscuit that has been dipped into a licorice flavoured creme brulee. The finish is sadly short but sweet whilst it lasts. It's complex and definitely something I'd try again.

Very average. Some vanilla, wood, lots of burnt caramel with some bitterness. Aqueous and alcohol moderately integrated.
