Relicario Superior
Neat it's easy but flat — sweet caramel and vanilla over a spirit note that's louder than the 40% suggests, plus oak and a slightly bitter tail. Where it actually shines is in a glass with cola and lime: several members call it a great Cuba Libre base, especially if Havana feels too pushy. "Too sweet for my taste" comes up a lot.

How does Relicario Superior taste?
Aggregated from 129 community reviews.
Sweet, simple Dominican that mixes better than it sips Most see a decent entry-level Dominican: sweet, woody, uncomplicated. The common gripes are noticeable sweetness and a spirity, faintly bitter finish. People rate it far higher as a mixer than neat.

Good for Mixing, nice as a cuba libre 👌🏻 A bit to sweet for what I like (maybe sugar was added!?) This was diluted for sure, no power, complexity… Update: This was one of my first rum of this amazing journey through the rum world! Now after 3 years(!) the bottle is empty 😅

This rum is kind of thin/flat and lacks complexity, but I think it's a good beginner rum. The nose is fruity with oak and vanilla. The palate is fruity and the finish in whisky barrels is clear in the taste. The oak is present and so is smoke and vanilla. The finish is medium and spicy with oak/smoke.

Not too sweet, woody flavors and a bit roasted. Also has a smokey touch in the finish. Not bad for what it costs.

Für mich leider zu süß Im Geschmack
Review by Schnapsschuesse

Very cheap and very decent entry level rum. Very good as a mixer, enjoyable pure but nothing remarkable. Since the low price I would actually buy it again if I'm in need for a mixer at home.

Vanille. Kann man trinken, muss man aber nicht
