A.F.D. Ron Barceló Gran Añejo Dark Series
Sweet-tooth sippers who want something soft and easy will get on with this one. It's caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and a chocolate-cookie note, with roasted nutty, oaky flavors from the cask. Several tasters call it the nicest of the Barceló range and note almost none of the usual dark-rum bitterness. The catch: it's thin and sweetened, and short on complexity.

Soft, sweet chocolate-caramel easy sipper Most tasters see it as the pick of the Barceló line — sweet, chocolatey and no burn. But it reads thin and helped-along, and one member found it "nothing really impressive."

Sweeter, but actually quite nice. A nice caramel finish. I wouldn't be ashamed to pour it for a visitor :)

I thought I'd give this a shot for 22€ to see how this would be if I had this as a daily rum. I think it is quite ok. The fact that the abv is so low is not an issue. It has a nice rounded mouthfeel with tons of roasted nuts and oaky notes. Lovely.

Rather sweet. Mostly caramel, vanilla and butterscotch vibes. Pretty different from other Barcelo rums for that price. Not very complex, but still interesting. A bit like Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva.
Review by Werner10
A nice upgrade compared to the Barcelo Gran Anejo. A lot richer in taste. Nice roasted flavors from the cask. Medium finish with caramel.

A bit too soft taste for me. Not bad but nothing really impressive.

Dobrý, jemný, ale nie zaujímavý

A pleasant surprise compared to other Barcelo rums, sweet, I taste vanilla, caramel and chocolate
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Mainly sweet and caramelly and chocolaty. Not overly sweet, but it has definitely been helped here. Has something of chocolate cookies, but is unfortunately also very thin. 40-42% would have been better here. Otherwise there is not much complexity to be found here.
