Rum Nation Guadeloupe Blanc 2015
Poured neat it's fresh and dry with grassy sugarcane, green olive and a minty edge; in a daiquiri it turns surprisingly round and easy despite the 50%. A few members flag some ethanol on the nose and a slightly odd, briny character, but most call it a fair, honest white agricole for the money and a good way into the grassy style.

Fresh, grassy agricole, great in a daiquiri Most see a fresh, grassy white agricole that makes a great daiquiri base. A couple find it a bit ethanol-forward or too odd; agricole skeptics stay unmoved.

Solid entry-level Agricole blanc with a nice fresh note and slightly maritime after green olives and a hint of mint! The daiquiri is surprisingly drinkable and round despite being 50%! Top PLV.

The problem here is that I really enjoy the odd. This is not a rhum I'd serve for anyone that hadn't passed a few lesser difficult rhum in my cabinet. The nose and taste is difficult to explain and many would probably find both disgusting. I've tasted more vomitus in other rums, both there's a hint of it here. Rare, extraordinary, and very interesting.

We tried this one before starting our S.B.S tasting yesterday (will put it up later) and it was a really nice surprise. Fresh from nose to finish with a warm and dry touch to the palate. The fun thing was as it was standing on the tabel the dryness kind of dropped and turned into a more round profile. Nice citrus notes and I like the minty touch on the palate. I'd say this could be a good rum for a beginners entrance into the Agricole world. Price to quality is very good and it was chosen as the rum of the year 2022 by romhatten.dk 😊

For RRP (35euro) it is definitely not a bad buy. The nose has hints of candy(?) and grassy notes. For 50% it burns very little, but it does have some ethanol smell and taste. I don't recommend buying it as a dram bottle, but if you want something more interesting than bacardi and havana club for your drinks (that require white rum), this will be a great choice.

Simple, yet good white rum made from sugar cane juice. While the herbal aromas dominate the nose, a fresh note of sugar cane comes through on the palate and gives the whole thing a sweet touch. Not a highlight, but perfectly fine for the price. Possibly also an inexpensive basis for drinks, which will be tried in the next few days.

Agricole blanc is just not my thing. It did have some interesting notes though.
