04-05.11.2022 Den Danske Rom & Whiskyfestival 2022. Another return to this big event where many people go to get drunk. Once again we had a special event for a select set of people. Notes. Pretty decent release especially when looking at the price tag at release. Nice and fruity profile with caramel and light smoke. Medium to long finish.

The nose is pleasant, in line with Foursquare standards. The palate is not the most elegant: the alcohol could be better integrated, the woodiness is astringent and unflattering, and the finish is short. It's not bad, but there's no added value compared to the classic range.

Mild integrated with higher esthers in the end. ... Foursquare is a distillery from Barbados producing amazing rums for everyday drinking. It's a rum that will be appreciated especially by rums who are fed up with sugar and are looking for a smooth, sweet rum full of coconut, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Just pleasant and not aggressive flavours.

"This is one of the driest and most wood/age led rums, I have had from Foursquare/IB's. Had it been aged 18 years in the tropics I think it would have been like chewing on bark. As it stands the Continental Ageing has kept this within the parameters to still produce..."Read full review →
