This is a nice spiced rum and should be judged accordingly. Very nice and warming with a lot of spices and chocolate. Can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, and in a mixer. I have started using this when baking chocolate cake and it's very good for that as well.

In der Nase recht süß mit einer schönen Vanillenote, leicht Karamell, schon fast likörartig. Auch am Gaumen setzt sich der süße Eindruck fort, aber noch im angenehmen Rahmen, auch hier Vanille, Karamell, Kaffee, Schokolade, angenehme Schärfe ohne sprittig zu wirken mit einer schönen Würze, ein Hauch Lakritze?, relativ weich, leicht ölig. Muss man auf jeden Fall öfters trinken um die verschiedenen Gewürze rauszuschmecken. Fazit: guter Spiced Rum in ausgefallener Optik, sollte man auf jeden Fall mal probieren.

Rum for after dinner with friends. Too spicy and sweet for my taste. Not suitable for tasting at a certain level. These very sweet rums got me hooked on these spirits and therefore I find it difficult to give it a bad rating because in the end everyone has their own preferences. That being said, unfortunately, I do not consider it a good rum and I liken it to Elixirs such as Arecha or Cubaney (which are not real rums).

I used to like it as a mixer, but now it's just an emergency anchor for visitors. Edit: I now offer visitors better things. Will probably end up as a baking ingredient somewhere. Unfortunately, it can't be used for anything else.

A sweet vanilla bomb with other spices in the background of the vanilla. But it tastes less chemical than other popular spiced rums, so it's actually quite ok. Can be used for mixing if you take the sweetness into account.

Rum for non-experts in rum. Like Don Papa, it's an entry point that I would recommend. It's very spicy, the color is really dark as if caramel had been added. The tasting notes are dark and spicy.

Dieser Rum hat ordentlich Zuckerzusatz bekommen. Er riecht sehr würzig und süß. Am Gaumen dominiert der würzig/süße Geschmack und überdeckt alle anderen Nuancen, schade. Pur daher zu eintönig, als Mixgetränk gut geeignet.

Poured from a bottle that's been open for ~1.5 years, and is 2/3 full. Found this old gifted bottle while doing some rearranging of my bar shelves, thought it was a perfect time to give it a pour. Weak nose of what you expect from a spiced rum. Palate is stronger but is still fairly watery. Finish lingers with this strange artificial aftertaste.

It’s not the worst spiced rum. At least it is not overwhelmed by a single spice/ flavour. I think it’s fair to rate this as an average rum given it is ubiquitous and effectively ’the standard’ for most people.

Very spicy and very sugary. Not a tasting rum - but not pretending it is. It is as advertised and honestly, find it quite unpalatable but no false promises. I have drank much worse for such rums 😉

For some reason Kraken is my favorite rum. I dont that i can find a better one (more suitable for my taste) in this price range. It has an amazing bottle/package. The color matches the bottle (ink of Kraken). The taste is spicy with strong vanilla kick. The aftertaste stays the same and does not last long - but its not imminently gone. Good one to be mixed with other drinks. I prefer this one really cold as it gives roundness to the taste.

Quelle horreur ! On m'a offert une bouteille de ce truc que j'ai donc dû goûter en faisant bonne figure. C'est plat et chimique. Du mauvais cola sans bulles. Du Toplexil. Moins bon encore qu'un Bumbu. Infect.. Ce genre de boissons fait du mal au rhum en laissant à penser aux non initiés que c'est ça le rhum.

Careful, the German bottling has 40%, not 47%. Smells like an accident in the cookie factory. Burnt and contains everything from cocoa to butterscotch, but mainly a treatise on artificial flavors around vanilla. Cardboard sweet and overloaded. Every kind of baking ingredient, garnished with alcoholic spiciness on the finish. Sorry, no.

Too much dillution with water therefore its taste is fading out, tye taste as well as smell is weak and should be more prominent since soices are present but dillution with water killed all the fun. Even Captain Morgan Black Spiced is much better than this due to its significant taste and smell.

Für einen Spiced Rum-Spirit Drink eigentlich noch ganz in Ordnung. Sicher stark aromatisiert, da gibt es aber wohl auch deutlich schlechtere Produkte in die Richtung. Pur, naja, muss jeder selbst entscheiden.😁 Zum Mixen aber schon gut geeignet.
