Plantation Belize XO Single Cask
Made for someone who wants a soft, Spanish-style sipper with a Cognac lean rather than a bold, characterful Belize. Caramel, honey and grapes up front, roasted nuts and milk chocolate underneath, and at 49.4% the alcohol sits well back. Several tasters find it a touch thin and short on the finish — pleasant enough, but it doesn't leave much behind.

This canidate from Belize finished in last place of my Belize tasting. I would recommend it to some new guys in the rum world, due the easy access of various notes, also the alcohol remains in the background (due diluation). The fealing in mouth is rather light and elegant. Also the finish is quite short and inexpressive

Quite a muted and sweet thing, that Plantation offered there. Will have a second go at a later time. The second go is not really better, it tastes like a Spanish style rum with a bit of Cognac, which it is.
