Pusser‘s Rum „Nelson‘s Blood“ Aged 15 Years Navy Rum
The surprise here is how gentle it is for a 15-year navy blend: soft banana, vanilla and brown sugar, with a light wood note running through and a long dried-fruit finish. One member found it "quite fruity, bit leathery and full of spices." Not complex, but rounded and easy. A few tasters wish it were bottled at navy strength to cut the sweetness. Sadly no longer made.

A great blend. For me, this rum is one of the main reasons why I became a rum drinker. Very intense. But still not scratchy or acrid. Really good rums have come together here. The price-performance ratio was very good at the time. Today, unfortunately, this drop is very hard to come by. It's a pity, especially the successor (15yo pussers) can't keep up by far

With a beautiful label and a fantastic story around “Nelson’s Blood” it’s a pity that it’s not produced anymore. I really hope it will come back, hopefully in a Navy strength version cause that would balance the sweetness in a good way.

The "old" Pussers Nelsons Blood is convincing across the board. It is not as Guyana-heavy as its successor, the Pussers 15. Fine fruit on the nose and in the taste. The rest is super balanced and round. Certainly not super complex, but the aromas harmonize very well. A fine woody note accompanies the entire tasting. A fantastic rum for me. Unfortunately, it is no longer available through normal channels.

Nice and heavy, mild and round. Easy to drink alongside something else. Nothing overly complex, no burn, but a slight tingling. Subtle fruit notes with chocolate while drinking. Pleasant finish of dried fruit, lasts a long time. Gets better with every sip.
