12.11.2022 Going through samples at home. Notes Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Intense, light sweetness, pineapple, fruity, faint wood, faint smoke, faint caramel, light vegetal, ester. Palate Oily, medium intense, balanced, fresh, light sweetness, faint caramel, light medicinal, faint floral, faint citrus, light vegetal, ester. Finish Long and warm, balanced, medium intense, medium dry, fruits, faint chocolate, light vegetal.

Starker Hampden, finde ihn nur etwas zu alkoholisch für einen ABV von 54%. In der Nase typisch Hampden, Ester, Banane und Ananas, am Gaumen dann für mich etwas ungewöhnlich, neben Ester und Ananas auch leicht röstig.

This LROK is a positive surprise! The esters are very restrained and fruit and spice dominate, but in a pleasant way. The balance is very good and the alcohol is barely noticeable. Top Hampden LROK! Glad to have received a sample

For me, an amazing bottling that's unfortunately hard to get. The complexity is a bit restrained, but everything is perfectly balanced. The perfectly integrated alcohol combined with the honey sweetness makes this rum a knockout!

Nice and round, not particularly complex, nice fruit, not much ester, probably Lrok, slightly musty, seems older. I just had a 90s Hgml – compared to this one, it obviously falls short...

Beautiful lively color. Invites you to try it. The nose is incredibly delicious. Warm fruit notes. I get banana, a bit of pineapple. Nice, not overpowering ester notes. Everything is coherent and rounded. On the palate, then clearly more on the wood note side. Surprisingly spicy. Then fresh notes come up again, which you also find on the nose. Harmonious transition into a long finish, where the aroma impressions change. Barrel aging combined with fruit notes. Strong stuff that scores through balance. Definitely always worth a glass. After a few minutes in the glass, it went up by 0.2 again – delicious.
