Centenario 18 Años Reserva de la Familia

"Other, older releases are better" is the line that keeps coming up here. This is the drier, less sugary Centenario — chocolate, vanilla and sweet spice up front, a nutty warmth and a woody, slightly thin finish. A few tasters found it pleasant but flat, one flatly calling it "no character." Easy to sip, but it doesn't build to much.

Mild chocolate-vanilla sipper, a touch flat Middle-of-the-road Costa Rican sipper: chocolate, vanilla and spice, less sweet than its 20 and 25 siblings. Pleasant enough neat, but several found it a bit characterless.

A typical centenario in taste. Blindly guessed the 20 because of the unmistakable typical centenario taste, but less sweet than that one

Not enchanted by this Ron. Neither good nor bad, it leaves me indifferent. Few flavors emerge except caramel... Woody finish, rather poor. Best served with something sweet.

Chocolate, vanilla, sweet spices, touch of fruits. Other, older releases are better.
