At 28 years and 45%, it drinks soft and oily — one member said it "runs down like oil" and felt almost Christmassy. Sweet but not artificial. Several tasters liked it without being wowed; a few felt the younger Davidsen bottlings gave them more for the money.

Ich bin durch Zufall auf den Davidsen 15 gestoßen, glaube das war in einem Tasting Set. Der hat mir gut gefallen mit seinem Geruch und Geschmack in Richtung Schokolade und das sogar für einen sehr moderaten Preis. Nun habe ich mir den Davidsen 28 gegönnt, da ich aus der Serie einen weiteren Rum probieren wollte. Höherer Preis bringt höhere Erwartungen mit sich und die werden nicht so richtig erfüllt ehrlich gesagt. Ein guter Rum mir Geruch und Geschmack von Pflaume und Karamell. Dazu mischt sich etwas rauchiges und holziges. Süß ist er aber nicht künstlich. Also ein guter Rum aber der 15er hat mir besser geschmeckt und der ist dazu noch günstiger.
