Oskar Davidsen & Co Davidsen‘s XO 28 Red Label
Plum and caramel up front, with a smoky, woody edge and a fruit-schnapps note running through it. At 28 years and 45%, it drinks soft and oily — one member said it "runs down like oil" and felt almost Christmassy. Sweet but not artificial. Several tasters liked it without being wowed; a few felt the younger Davidsen bottlings gave them more for the money.
