Velier Neisson Cuvée Chai 2 Vevert 2016
Grassy sugar cane, orange peel and a floral, almost lavender edge lead here, with vanilla, tropical fruit and a nutty, tobacco-tinged finish. This is one of three Neisson 2016 Chai casks bottled by Velier, and tasters keep comparing the trio. Some find it the freshest and most elegant, others the lightest and least tropical of the group. At 56.8% it drinks young, spicy and lively.

Fresh, floral agricole with grassy cane Well-liked agricole with a fresh, floral, citrus-and-cane profile. Several put it as the lightest of the three 2016 Chais; a few call it the best. Young and spicy with a short-to-long finish depending on who you ask.

A slightly older tasting. The price tag is pretty good compared to what you get. A fruity rum with a nice mix of spices and a nice floral note. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some ginger and chocolate.

Eine sehr frische Nase - Zitrus, Lösungsmittel, Minze. Prickeln im Mund und Abgang. Nicht sehr komplex. Nicht schlecht, aber der schwächste der drei Chais. Die frische Nase macht ihn interessant.
