Karukera L‘Expression 2008
Roasted wood, sugarcane and vanilla lead here, with chocolate creeping in as the glass empties and a red-fruit note several tasters compared to Black Forest cake. This 2008 Guadeloupe agricole from Karukera sits on the darker, spicier side. One reviewer called it "a nice solid agricole," though a couple felt it could use a touch more punch on the palate.

Dark, woody agricole with chocolate and spice Most people enjoy this dark, woody agricole for its balance and depth. The common gripe: the palate runs a bit tannic and could stand a few more percent of alcohol.

Very nice balance between wood, spices and gourmet.

Thinking about the price tag on this bottle you get a lot for your buck! The nose is fruity with roasted wood, sugarcane and vanilla and if you leave the empty glass you will also pick up a lovely chocolate note. The palate is also fruity with roasted wood, vanilla, chocolate and a hint of tobacco. The finish is medium long with wood, fruits, spices and a bit of tobacco.

good but nose in adequacy with the mouth. very beautiful nose on roasted wine (port/madere). then a wiser mouth more classic. expensive for an 8 years old

A nice solid agricole, well done on woody and chocolate notes.
