A light and aesy drinkable release. Fruity with light spices and caramel. The empty glass has some chocolate and floral notes to it.

An old Trois Rivières with a fairly varied but very subtle and changing profile over time. The nose starts with pretty notes of varnish and fruit before moving through pastry, candied, and honeyed notes and finishing on fresh notes, all without really taking over. The same impression is felt on the palate: full but very smooth, with aromas of chocolate, coffee, and toffee complemented by toasted notes, for a balanced and very subtle whole. The finish is long, a bit more floral and fresh than the palate, but it brings back the same markers as the overall profile. A very fine rum that could be criticized for a lack of impact despite its fairly varied profile.
