Diamond Rum Artesanal Guyana Rum 2004

Most owners land around a strong 8, with one clear warning: this is a licorice bomb. Bone-dry Diamond pot-still Demerara — licorice, old herbs, pencil shavings, a bitter edge, then a late caramel sweetness and hidden fruit that softens the finish. One taster nailed it: closer to a Fernet or herbal bitter than a typical rum. The 53.7% sits well integrated.

The community says
  • Intense licorice
  • Well-integrated ABV
  • But: Very licorice-forward

Leckerer Diamond...

Very intense nose with lots of herbs and licorice. On the palate then dry with a pleasant bitterness and again much licorice. Who likes licorice comes here fully at his expense! The alcohol is very well integrated. Great rum. Personally, however, a little too herbaceous.

Furztrocken. Ausgewogen, Alkohol gut integriert, handwerklich einwandfrei. Klassischer Demerara.
