Bristol T.D.L Trinidad Rum for Haromex Dev. 2006
Wood, caramel and a cooling hint of menthol run through this 13-year Trinidad column-still rum from Bristol. Several tasters guessed Panama or old Demerara blind — it's rounder and sweeter than a typical T.D.L., with vanilla, chocolate and dried fruit. A few catch "dirty" Caroni-like markers they love; others find the sweetness heavy and the alcohol a touch rough.

How does Bristol T.D.L Trinidad Rum for Haromex Dev. 2006 taste?
Aggregated from 61 community reviews.
Sweet, woody Trinidad sipper with mint Well liked but divisive: fans enjoy the round wood, caramel and mint freshness, while several call it atypically sweet, a bit hot, and not very T.D.L.-like. Enjoyable, rarely memorable.

RumX Advent Calendar 2024: No. 25 Possibly Bardados today? Very nice rum with woody and fruity influences. Very pleasant sweetness in the finish. Alcohol very well integrated, guess around 60%. Another great selection for the calendar.

Hmmm...

I rarely had 2006 T.D.Ls, as well as bottlings from Bristol. These T.D.L. also taste very rare. Blindly, I would have put these more in the Spanish direction. I still like them, but nobody should expect a fruity micro-bomb here. Cask 472/2 is very creamy on the palate and somewhat woody and bitter on the finish, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Cask 472/1, on the other hand, is somewhat more linear and even less exciting.

Quite a decent TDL, molasse, vanilla, some spices and hints of menthol / mint leaves on top. The latter adds a freshness that I really like.

RumX Adventskalender 2024 …

Edit: RumX Advent Calendar 2024 Bonus 1 I didn't realize it, but due to the long (involuntary) standing time today I had the dirty Caroni notes with me. I still think it's delicious. A nice TDL for me. Just needs a little time in the glass, but then it's very enjoyable. Edit: Tasted it again on 19.09.23, after I had the Swell Private Garden #4 in my glass before. I find this one a lot better. This one has more power and after a while it unfolds its full range.

Pretty difficult this one. I'd say an old Demerara due to the caramel notes and the liquorice that in the mouth is really noticeable, while on the nose is mixed with wood and resembles liquorice sticks.
Review by Jakob
Taut blend of barrel notes, caramel, peppery spice, candied fruit and roasted aromas. The palate also has a pleasant nuttiness, but also a somewhat rough alcoholic sharpness. A rum with appealing aromas that only lacks the final balance.

A rather one-dimensional TDL with a lot of column. Rather chocolaty Panama notes.
Review by Leo Krüper
Very beautiful, rare TDL with an independent profile. Complex finish with some changes of direction. Good PLV

Leckeres Ding.

Beautiful matte for a bottle under 100e. Although alcohol can be felt, but very drinkable. I recommend it even to beginners for discovering new flavours. Mata from TDL is an unmistakable taste that you will never get tired of.

RumX Kalender 2024 Bonus 1: Vanille, Kokos, angenehm süß. Im Mund kommt Schärfe hinzu, die Vanille & Kokosnoten bleiben. Dazu sehr süß. Finish eher kurz mit Schärfe. Tippe auf irgendwas in Mittelamerika, evtl. Panama?
