Trois Rivières Single Cask 2004
Here's the twist on an agricole: this one leans toasted and woody more than grassy. Nine years in an ex-bourbon cask has smoothed the cane down to light oak, orange peel, roasted nuts and a touch of vanilla. Balanced and easy to sip at 43%, but several tasters wish it went further — one calls it a touch too soft, and the finish stays short.

Balanced, oak-and-citrus agricole that stays gentle Well-liked as a balanced, gentle agricole, but the recurring note is that it plays quiet — a bit more proof or length would have made it memorable.
