Long Pond Plantation Single Cask (The Whisky Exchange) CRV 2009
Coming from Long Pond, you'd expect a funk bomb — but this one is toned way down. The nose is pineapple, vanilla and caramel with light ester; the palate turns thin and dry, with grapes and a touch of spice. Fans of soft, fruity Jamaicans enjoy it, while a few tasters found it watered down and "a little confused" for a Long Pond.

How does Long Pond Plantation Single Cask (The Whisky Exchange) CRV 2009 taste?
Aggregated from 21 community reviews.
Soft, fruity Jamaican with muted funk Fruity, vanilla-heavy and easy, but the dilution shows — several found it thin and short. Long Pond purists feel it hides the distillery's real ester character.

Echt schade

This is a boring rum… A bit fruity, woody with light ester and roasted notes. Very soft, thin and uncomplex due to much diluation…
Review by Lukas (RUMster 🥃)
Review by Motvind

Read full review →Plantation Jamaica 2009 Long Pond CRV strikes me as being a little confused or something trying to play to the "normal" Plantation customer. Personally, I think it gives an entirely false impression of what Long Pond/Jamaican rum is all about. Again like Xaymaca I'm felt underwhelmed by another lost opportunity.
