This Montebello rum from the Carrere distillery is made from green cane from a plot nearby the distillery in Bass-Terre, Guadeloupe. It’s great neat and works probably very well as a mixer. The nose is fresh, herbal, spicy, sweet and fruity with aromas of lemon sugarcane and pepper. At the palate it’s round, dry, floral, spicy and a little bitter with flavors of ripe cane, bark and lime. The finish is rather long and spicy with flavors of sugarcane and pepper.

#5320 08.05.2025 Relaxing while watching the TV show Body Bizarre. Nose Fresh, round, fruity, light citrus, floral, sugarcane, light vegetal, light nutts. Palate Fresh, oily, medium intense, fruity, sugarcane, light berries, light vegetal, floral, faint nutts. Finish Medium long, oily, light floral, natural sweetness, light nutts, sugarcane, light berries. Empty glass Vegetal, faint caramel, light citrus, sugarcane, light herbs.

Rhum qui plaira aux amateurs de Montebello , la dégustation tourne beaucoup autour de la canne et des agrumes .Le nez est très agricole avec de la canne et du végétal . En bouche un peu de terreux , un peu d acidité mais pas dérangeantes.

Rhum qui sort de l’ordinaire avec ce goût très spécial de la canne rouge . Un goût de « goûter » ou de « dessert » à base de biscuit pour moi . Puis un finale doux qui s’évapore avec un goût végétal . Excellent moment !!!

The nose is interesting with custard, butter, vegetable (green peppers), citrus, hazelnut and some raspberry. The palate is initially pungent, but quickly becomes smooth with marked sweet (cream/butter) and vegetable (spinach, chard) notes, also roasted hazelnuts and mild pepper in the finish. Simple and pleasant.
