Helios Kiyomi White Rum
Sip it neat or build a daiquiri or Ti Punch, and you get something unusual: very floral and grassy up front, with lychee, cucumber, olive, and a briny, almost umami edge. Several tasters clock it as sake-like or Clairin-adjacent rather than a typical rum. One member called it "amazing nose on 40%." Divisive but genuinely different from your usual white.

A very floral white rum, both on the nose and in taste. Although a little "dry" on the palate.

Blind wäre ich wahrscheinlich irgendwo bei Clairin gelandet, da ich mich da schon des Öfteren im Olivenwasser hab schwimmen sehen, wobei es hier schon eher die pure Olive im Glas ist. Besonders im Abgang kommt eine gut dazu passende Käsenote dazu. An Frucht vor allem im Mund etwas Litchi. Besonders gefällt die ölige Konsistenz auf der Zunge. Alkohol, bei den ABV zu erwarten, merkt man nicht. Zugegeben, sehr speziell, aber ganz objektiv ein qualitativ sehr guter Rum und über Geschmack lässt sich ja bekanntlich streiten.

#5046 17.01.2025 Enjoying some samples at home. Nose Fresh, round, light vegetal, olive, fruits, light apple, spice, light grass. Palate Oily, round, fresh, olive, light salt, fruits, light citrus, faint mint, light herbal, light grass. Finish Medium long, oily, round, light olive, light salt, medium dry, herbs, light grass, faint mint. The empty glass has mint, cinnamon, light iodine and faint melon.

Rhum Club de Lille, soirée 1 : un premier blanc bien fleuri, très très frais. Il y a un côté gin mais plus rond, assez fluide. Il y a aussi de l’ananas, la poire, la prune. C’est déroutant mais vraiment bon et simple à boire.

An easy-drinking, uncomplicated rum with a pleasant profile. Lots of fruit on the nose. Mostly lychee. Cane, a very vegetal note. Same on the palate, where the low degree makes it very easy to drink. Not crazy, but rather pleasant.

Both on the nose and on the palate, a vegetable, paprika note is noticeable, for me it had something of a savanna. There was also a vegetable bottling. Unfortunately, it doesn't suit my taste at all.

Un côté prune japonaise et une certaine familiarité avec le gin. Un rhum blanc assez expressif, bien loin de ce qu’on trouve habituellement, avec de la canne fraîche et des notes d’agrumes. Ça change !
