Bologne Black Cane 2019
One taster called it "unique. Peppermint taste that is strong and last for a long time," and that mint runs alongside fresh-cut cane, tropical fruit and a peppery bite. It's an unaged Guadeloupe agricole at 50% that drinks softer than the number suggests. Most people pour it into a Ti Punch, where the cane really sings, though it holds up neat too.

How does Bologne Black Cane 2019 taste?
Aggregated from 90 community reviews.
Fresh cane agricole, made for Ti Punch Loved as a Ti Punch base — bright cane, citrus and a lingering minty streak. Neat it's fresh and clean but, as a few noted, not especially memorable.

#5148 15.03.2025 Running a few samples at home. Nose Fresh, round, fruits, sugarcane, citrus, spice, light anise, light ginger, faint herbal. Palate Oily, fruits, fresh, round, citrus, spice, light acidic, sugarcane, light floral, light mint. Finish Medium long, fresh, oily, sugarcane, light citrus, spice, light mint. Empty glass Light mint, sugarcane, faint pear, light floral. Needs to rest for a while to really open up.

The nose is quite floral and sugary. This is also evident in the taste. Supplemented by a little pepper. It has a very soft and sweet finish. A good unaged Agricole without any special features.

Outstanding in Ti Punch

I really like white rums from Guadeloupe, especially those from the Longueteau brand. This Bologna rum has a distinctive smell and taste. It's a real success in ti punch. It can also be enjoyed neat. Medium, smooth length on the palate. A bar classic with good value for money.

Tastes evolve. I didn't remember rating this old friend's bottle so low, but when I went through it again last night, I thought it was great. Beautiful cane, rich exotic fruit, and a hint of saltiness. Super RQP.

Solid Guadeloupe, pure me personally too licorice, in the daiquiri then fruity enough but unfortunately also not outstanding good

Excellent in ti punch

Soft and drinks well below the ABV. Nose is typical agricole if not a bit muted, it’s clean and has honeyed notes on the pallate and a mouth that leads into a green hay and sugar finish. Solid rhum for the price point at €40 but not memorable

Finale : longueur ok. Bonne dégustation.

Unique. Peppermint taste that is strong and last for a long time

La canne a sucre dans toute sa puissance… un nez enjoleur… qui meritera que j’y revienne maintenant que la bouteille va pouvoir respirer davantage… de la canne fraiche et des fruits tropicaux gorgés de soleil ! Un délice !!!

Awesome! I've been wanting to try it for ages! A perfect balance between the taste of the cane / the alcohol / the sugar . Excellent!

For me, an excellent rum ti punch
