Ein eher atypischer Caroni-Vertreter. Anfänglich noch die bekannten Werkstattnoten. Diese weichen aber schnell eher trocken/fruchtigen Noten, Karamell, Vanille und Gewürzen. Im Geschmack eine wahrnehmbare Süße. Insgesamt eher im milden Bereich, nicht das was man von einem Caroni vermuten würde. Zum Einstieg gut, für Fortgeschrittene fehlt etwas Komplexität.

Un rhum dégusté dans un restaurant, la bouteille est quasi finie. Un nez très pâtissier avec de la brioche et du gâteau aux fruits, un très léger atelier mécanique. Pas du tout un Caroni marqué par des arômes empyreumatiques. La bouche est plutôt belle mais plutôt sur les fruits secs avec un léger diesel. La finale est tout en fruits et en gâteaux. Les notes typiques de Caroni apparaissent dans le verre vide, mélangées avec les fruits comme dans “The Last” mais la comparaison s’arrête là, hélas.

27.04.2019 A relaxing evening with good samples and bottles and a few friends. Notes. Medium dark colour. Nose: wood, burnt, rubber, cherry, spice, tar, light leather. Palate: light, oily, wood, roasted , dried fruit, tar, light rubber, berries. Finish: short to medium, wood, tar, leather, dried fruit.
