Twelve Whisky d’Aubrac Rhum Rare Réunion & Jamaica - Pineau de Charentes Finish
Here's the surprise: at 62% this drinks far friendlier than the proof warns. It's a Réunion-Jamaica blend where bright orchard fruit — green apple, pear, peach, banana — rides alongside a streak of Jamaican varnish and orange peel. One taster called it "fruity-creamy and pleasing," and most agree the alcohol sits well integrated. Give it air; it opens up.

The best of the 4 blends tasted this day for me. The one in which the two origins of the rums of the blend complement each other without one taking over. We have the greediness and the rigor of Reunion combined with the ripe fruits and the varnished esters of Jamaica. A frank success.

This rum is so fruity with green apples and grapes and in the taste also some banana present. So a really nice sip, although it has over 60%. Maybe not for everyday, but great for a nice christmas evening. Certainly one of my favourites in 2022.

Alkohol gut eingebunden. Lecker.

Fruity and young on the nose, similar on the palate. I wouldn’t mind a full bottle of this one. Very nice

Un assemblage sophistiqué qui mélange les registres. Riche et expressif mais un peu déroutant.
Review by Dr.Django
A very palatable blend. Lots of bright fruits, especially peach, pear and apple. The rum is very fruity, creamy and pleasing on the palate, perhaps a little too dignified and unexciting. Anything but funky. The finish is a little wilder, with marzipan and a little spice. Second tasting: +3
