Mana’o Tahiti
A white agricole from Tahiti, not the Caribbean — that's the surprise here. Fresh green cane leads, wrapped in floral and lime notes, with a licorice/anise edge on the short finish. Several tasters catch fruit-brandy vibes (mirabelle, almond paste) and an olive-and-iodine saline streak. The nose runs hot with alcohol before it settles in the mouth. A distinctive terroir that splits opinion.

It has strong fruity and floral notes on the nose. However, this is negatively overlaid by iodine and strong alcohol. The alcohol is then better integrated on the palate. Very fruity notes with lots of lime. The finish is surprisingly short.

#4046 I'd say this one should be used in a mixer. Lots of floral notes once rested and the price tag is OK.

Sehr schöner blumiger und grasiger Rhum Agricol mit Noten von tropischen Früchten wie Ananas, Banane und Limone und ein Hauch von Zimt. Geruch und Geschmack deuten auf viele Esther Verbindung hin, vermutlich durch eine längere Fermentation.

Très belle découverte en blanc que ce Tahitien. Ça n’est pas donné mais ça change des marqueurs habituels sur les jus de Guadeloupe ou Martinique et même de la Réunion. Toute proportion gardé ça se rapprocherait plus de certaines notes de clairins notamment la finale sur l’Olive.

Un très bon rhum blanc, la canne à sucre est très présente, au nez ça me fait penser à certains rhums de la Réunion... Mais avec un côté martiniquais... Bref, une belle découverte, un bon rhum blanc de l'autre bout de la planète.

Plus classique et moins équilibré que le rangiroa, il n'en reste pas moins agréable avec un bon gras en bouche. Toutefois, la comparaison avec les agricole de Guadeloupe et Martinique rendent le positionnement compliqué pour ce tarif.

Canne à sucre très présente, ce rhum blanc a clairement une identité qui lui est propre ! Il a su se démarquer des rhum antillais. Rappelle l'eau-de-vie de fruits sans en tomber dans les travers. Il est également très floral. Très belle découverte ! Le nez est fortement marqué par l'alcool. Mais par la suite il s'intègre parfaitement dans les saveurs de ce rhum. En bouche, des saveurs de pâte d'amande émergent dans le tout. La finale est délicate... Un brin anisée

on the nose first nice fruity and floral after passion fruit and rose petals ... in the taste, the alcohol is then surprisingly present and rather only spicy and dry, from the fruit you do not get much unfortunately. in addition, a rather medicinal iodine note and a strange acidity that does not suit me so....auch in the daiquiri unfortunately overall rather flat and not particularly intense, rather only mineral and acidic ... the Manutea I like here much better.

La premiere impression fut pour le design soigné de la bouteille… la deuxieme fut pour ce parfum assez remarquable qui m’a mis « le rhum à la bouche »… oui cela embaume la canne fraiche, verte… mais j’y trouve un surprenant parfum de tomate confite… puis vint la déception du novice… la degustation trop rapide… dans un verre qui ne laisse pas respirer le breuvage. Cette fois j’y suis retourné en amateur… et je dois reconnaitre que si le goût ne me semble pas à la hauteur du nez, il est rond… l’alcool est bien équilibré. Ma tomate disparait en bouche mais se transforme en agrumes, piments et amandes. La final est moyenne et diminue trop vite…. Bien trop vite.

N’étant pas fan des rhums blancs, j’ai été très agréablement surpris par celui. Assez doux à la dégustation et avec des notes florales et fruitées qui ressortent.
