Karukera L'Intense 2018
Sip it neat or build a ti-punch — this Guadeloupe blanc agricole works both ways. Expect grass, lemon and fresh sugarcane up front, with a floral, peppery bite and a hint of vanilla custard. At 59.9% the alcohol is surprisingly well-integrated, and one taster even caught banana when it opened up. The nose reads a touch thin, but the palate and long, minty finish carry it.

19.12.2020 Nice tasting shortly before Christmas in a private area of the bar. Unfortunately this very old bar closed down in 2023. Notes Clear in colour. Nose Fresh, intense, Agricole, grass, citrus, light floral. Palate Warm, fresh, Agricole, grass, citrus, floral. Finish Long, warm, citrus, sugarcane.

A nose of greedy sugar cane, pancake batter, fresh and round, the alcohol is very well integrated. A white rum of tasting a perfection in ti-punch! By draining it, the nose is very carried on the banana, and the mouth a little also, it is very good!
