Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 11 Puerto Rico Rum
Anyone who thinks Puerto Rico only makes light, forgettable rum should try this single cask. It's more aromatic and full-bodied than most from the island: roasted oak, vanilla, nutmeg and caramel with a smoky, spicy finish and a touch of tropical fruit and orange. Several tasters called it the best of a big Puerto Rico lineup, though a few wished it had a bit more power.
The community says- Full-bodied for origin
- Roasted oak and spice
- Slightly thin body

Woody, spiced Puerto Rico single cask Consistently the favourite of a whole Puerto Rico tasting series. Rounded, woody and spiced with real body for the origin — a couple felt it runs slightly thin.

8,1:On the nose, the first impression we get is a nail polish, esters with tropical fruits and citrus, a bit sweet, a molasses is noticable with vegetal touch, the wood is roasted, spicy with vanilla. 8,2:On the palate, the attack is fruity and woody with tropical, yellow fruits and citrus like lemon, orange, the roasted wood brings caramel and smoke, spices like pepper, nutmeg, vanilla and is a bit dry. 8:The finish is long, dry with roasted, smoky wood notes as burnt sugar, caramel, spicy with nutmeg and fruity with tropical fruits, orange...

Dicker Respekt!

Tasting of Artur's Puerto Rico rums. A lively, dry and complex nose with esters, wood, vegetal and tropical fruits. And already the second pleasant surprise of the evening. The palate is spicy with tropical fruit and wood. The finish is rather long on dry wood but with roundness. The best rum of the evening, and a fine promise for the future from this distillery.

This is a pretty good single cask rum from rumclub and considering the price tag it's very good. The nose is sweet and fruity with roasted oak and a tad of vanilla. The palate is smoky/woody with spices and fruits. The finish is long and spicy with orange and a smoky end.

The liquid History of Puerto Rico Tasting Nr. 19 - Highlight des Tastings.

Puerto Rico Set Nr. 19: The elevated ABV clearly supports those one. More intensity on the nose. The nose is more complex than the contenders so far, combining caramel, vanilla and wood notes with (dried) fruits and some roasted notes. Nice. On the palate the bottling presents ample sweetness providing the base for an enjoyable overall picture. Dried fruits, spices and wood mingle in a honey/ siroupy sensation. Cheers to Artur for curating this set!

For me personally, this is the best that this style of rum has yet produced, endless warmth and elegant sweetness with char and dried herbs. complexer notes of wood and dry tones of vanilla. A very subtle but again elegant finish. Daiquiri: Old wood and fresh fruit, while being dust dry. zero sugar. Unbelievable. 5/5 would drink again.
